Our camera operators capture our gathering live so our online audience can witness our gathering on Sunday morning and after!
Our church believes that the Sunday morning gathering is a gift from God that has two purposes: to join in his rightful praise to the glory of Jesus, and to be transformed by the Word of God as he promises to do. We will always prioritize the physical gathering of our church because that’s what Jesus prioritized for his church—but we recognize it is a good thing that we can broadcast our gathering for these reasons:
- It makes our gathering available for members in our congregation who are traveling, sick, or shut-in.
- It represents our church well to our community and new people interested in checking out Rock Point.
- It provides opportunities for members to rewatch sermons and sing again to songs during the week, which is helpful for discipleship and encouragement!

Camera Op Roles
We have multiple cameras and operators so we can capture more of our gathering. Here’s what it looks like to be on Cam 1 versus Cam 2.
Guidelines for all Camera Operators
- “Stay on your subject until the director calls for another camera.” Camera operators always keep a “subject” (i.e. a person or instrument) in frame. Whenever your director calls “Ready camera 1, go camera 1,” stay on your subject with them in the center of the frame until they call off your camera (i.e. “Ready camera 2, go camera 2”).
