Everyone on our team has a road map for growth—here’s what it looks like to become a Producer at Rock Point and where the road will take you!

🖥️ Complete the “Before You Begin” introduction.

This is the first step for any new producer—read and learn about what we expect from producers as leaders on the team, and see them in action in videos! If you’re ready to learn, let your staffer know that you want to start the journey!

🎧 Shadow a current Producer.

Schedule a Sunday morning to follow and assist a current Producer during Q2Q and 1st Service. This is from 7:00a-10:30a on a Sunday morning!

1️⃣ Have a 1-on-1 Session with a staffer and Complete Skillset 1.

Get dinner with a Rock Point Worship staffer to begin Skillset 1 training. Skillset 1 is all about understanding the service order so you can lead the team, as well as taking on your specific jobs for Sunday morning. You’ll focus on applying these skills for the first quarter that you serve as a Producer.

👥 Produce with a current Producer shadowing you.

Once completing Skillset 1 training, you’ll be added to the schedule to produce a service while being assisted by another current producer.

👤 Produce your first solo service!

Your next scheduling assignment will be to produce a service on your own! (Obviously you’re never truly “on your own” but this is your first opportunity to lead without an assistant!)

2️⃣ Have a 1-on-1 Session with a staffer and complete Skillset 2.

Each quarter, you’ll have an opportunity to grab lunch or dinner with your staffer to receive feedback, ask questions, and begin the next skillset. In Skillset 2 you’ll hone your ability to lead the Sunday morning teams with greater clarity and effectiveness, as well as learn how to troubleshoot technology in the Front of House booth.

3️⃣ Have a 1-on-1 Session with a staffer and complete Skillset 3.

Each quarter, you’ll have an opportunity to grab lunch or dinner with your staffer to receive feedback, ask questions, and begin the next skillset. In Skillset 3 you’ll expand your abilities to troubleshoot tech in Broadcast and the Venue, as well as learn how to ensure production team members are meeting their goals in their specific roles.

➡️ Attend future 1-on-1 check-ins and Team Night events!

We try to check in with team members every 6-months to fellowship and update you on what’s new, but we’re also trying to schedule more regular Team Night events—so stay tuned!
