Follow this sample script to lead the team through Cue-to-Cue (Q2Q) on Sunday morning!
Here are the big moments to watch for:
Look at gain structure with audio tech and check with broadcast audio to make sure everyone has enough gain to work with at their stations.

Before starting Cue-to-Cue, prep the speaker mics (wireless headsets and handhelds) with batteries so you can use them during.

Producer: “We’re good. Thanks, band! We’re going to start Cue-to-Cue. **Let’s start at pre-service: give me announcements and Spotify. … That’s great. Let’s start the countdown on my cue. 3, 2, 1—go. Now let’s move forward to thirty seconds remaining.

During the countdown, check in with Broadcast to make sure they have what they need, then preview the next cues with Front of House.

Producer: “Thirty seconds to go. Audio should have two cues: first the band, then the vocalists. Wait for my cue. … Five seconds, give me the band. 3, 2, 1—go vocals and lights.”

The band will rehearse the first song set here (typically one or two songs), which could include scripture readings, prayers, and songs.
