The best way to get the best photos from a Sunday morning is to have a plan! Here’s our standard shotlist for photographers at RP.

Quick List

Guidelines for Photos

  1. We want to see people!
    1. Ask some people if you can take their picture in the parking lot or in the Atrium—if they say “No,” it’s perfectly okay!
    2. Capture people in a moment as respectfully as you can. You’re there to do a job that helps everyone in the end!
  2. 50% Portrait and 50% Landscape
    1. Landscape photos that are wide enough can be cropped down to portrait.
    2. Vertical photos are great for social media.
  3. Wide > Medium > Close
    1. This kind of coverage gives us options for how to use the photos.
    2. Wide shots establish places.
    3. Medium shots show people. Can be portrait or landscape.
    4. Close shots show details: faces, hands, instruments, etc. Can be portrait or landscape.
