Before Wednesday Rehearsal (30 minutes)
- [ ] Look at Order of Service and make note of any tricky transitions or new elements. Ask Creative Director any questions you have!
- [ ] Look at the Stage Plot (under files) to note where band members are and what inputs are being used.
- [ ] Fill out an Active Listening Worksheet for one (1) of the songs of the week and submit to CD.
- [ ] Actively listen to all of the songs for the week to have an idea of how to mix, lead, capture, and light.
Wednesday
If you can attend Wednesday rehearsal, it will only benefit you to feel more confident in leading the team on Sunday. This is not mandatory but highly encouraged! Either way, just communicate with @Rhett Thomas about your weekly schedule.
At Wednesday Rehearsal (7:00 PM)
- [ ] Confirm routing and staging as needed
- [ ] Take notes about transitions and trouble spots, as well as mix questions and anything that needs to be updated in ProPresenter.
- [ ] “Are the song arrangements correct in ProPresenter?”
- [ ] “Who is leading what song sections in that duet?”
- [ ] “Is our gain structure good or do we need to adjust line levels?”
- [ ] “Are there any mismatched MIDI lighting cues or are they out-of-order because of rehearsal?”
- [ ] “What does the mix sound like in different parts of the room?”
- [ ] Connect with FOH and ProP operators—ask questions about their personal lives, spouses and kids, work, etc. —take opportunities to build relationships!
- [ ] Ensure network connection between House ProP and Broadcast ProP is working; also look over props and slides to make sure they work together well.
- [ ] Write down any notes or questions for staff to address before Sunday

⚠️ It is always good to ask questions—and not just “Does this work?” We want to keep an open dialogue about why we do what we do and how you can feel more confident in what you do.
